Clofare Care Foundation continues its mission to uplift marginalized communities by hosting a two-day Community Empowerment Workshop in the heart of Asaba. The event, which took place on October 5th and 6th, brought together over 200 participants, including women, youth, and individuals from at-risk groups, to engage in interactive sessions designed to inspire growth, independence, and innovation.
Themed "Building Resilient Communities Through Skills and Knowledge," the workshop focused on equipping participants with tools to tackle social and economic challenges.
Highlights of the Workshop
Empowering Stories
One of the workshop's highlights was the story of Grace Okechukwu, a 28-year-old single mother who attended the entrepreneurship session.
"Before this event, I didn’t know where to start. Now, I feel confident to launch my catering business, and I have the knowledge to make it succeed. Clofare Care Foundation has given me hope," Grace shared.
A Call to Action
In his closing remarks, Clofare Care Foundation’s Program Coordinator, Michael Nwachukwu, urged stakeholders to invest in community-driven initiatives.
"Empowering individuals at the grassroots is the key to sustainable development. Together, we can create opportunities for all and reduce the socioeconomic disparities in our nation," Nwachukwu said.
The event also featured exhibitions of products crafted by participants in previous Clofare training programs, showcasing the transformative power of skills-based empowerment.
