Volunteer Agreement

Effective Date: January 24th, 2024

Clofare Care Foundation ("we," "our," or "us") greatly values the contributions of volunteers who help us achieve our mission to support vulnerable communities. This Volunteer Agreement outlines the mutual expectations and responsibilities between the organization and its volunteers.

1. Volunteer Role and Responsibilities

Volunteers will:

  • Perform assigned tasks to the best of their abilities.
  • Follow the organization's policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Maintain professionalism and represent the Foundation in a positive manner.
  • Respect the confidentiality of any sensitive information they may encounter during their service.
  • Notify their supervisor or coordinator promptly if they are unable to fulfill their duties.

2. Organization’s Commitment

Clofare Care Foundation will:

  • Provide clear instructions and adequate training for assigned tasks.
  • Offer a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all volunteers.
  • Treat volunteers with respect and appreciation for their contributions.
  • Provide access to necessary resources for the successful completion of assigned tasks.
  • Address concerns or feedback in a timely and respectful manner.

3. Voluntary Nature of Engagement

This agreement is not a contract of employment. Volunteers serve without compensation and are not entitled to employee benefits such as wages, insurance, or paid leave. Either party may terminate this agreement at any time with prior notice.

4. Time Commitment

Volunteers agree to commit to the schedule outlined in their role description or agreed upon with their supervisor. Any changes to the schedule must be communicated in advance.

5. Code of Conduct

Volunteers are expected to adhere to the following:

  • Respect the rights, beliefs, and dignity of all individuals.
  • Avoid discriminatory, harassing, or abusive behavior.
  • Uphold the Foundation’s mission and values in all interactions.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and organizational policies.

6. Confidentiality and Data Protection

Volunteers may have access to sensitive information about the organization, beneficiaries, or partners. Volunteers agree to:

  • Maintain the confidentiality of such information during and after their service.
  • Handle personal data in accordance with the organization’s Privacy Policy.

7. Safety and Liability

Clofare Care Foundation is committed to maintaining a safe environment for all volunteers. Volunteers agree to:

  • Follow all safety guidelines and report any hazards or incidents immediately.
  • Understand that participation is voluntary and involves inherent risks.
  • Release Clofare Care Foundation from liability for any injuries, damages, or losses incurred during their service, except in cases of gross negligence.

8. Media and Publicity

Volunteers grant Clofare Care Foundation the right to use photographs, videos, or testimonials featuring them for promotional or educational purposes. Volunteers who wish to opt out must notify the organization in writing.

9. Termination of Agreement

This agreement may be terminated by either party for any reason, including failure to meet responsibilities or violation of policies. Upon termination, volunteers must return any organizational property in their possession.

10. Acknowledgment and Acceptance

By participating as a volunteer, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms of this agreement.
